MilitiaMan: Article: “Reconstruction of the oldest and most famous streets of Mosul”
I do beleive it takes contracts to drive fresh new reconstruction.
It entails jobs for starters, then a laundry list of materials that all cost dinars.. each employee working requires to be fed and housed..
1 employee with a good competitive wage supports numerous others! In fact probably many for that matter. It begins... imo – MM

Inner-Storms By Kathy Custren

In any one lifetime, we encounter a number of experiences where we are tested and strained to survive some manner of extreme energy. Most recently, the deluge delivered to the east coast of the United States with Hurricane Sandy is our current reality in dealing with forces we might consider more than we can handle.
While there is usually a death toll associated with major storms, if we can manage to do a bit of analysis, storms do serve as a testament to our strength and preparedness.
Physically, we have our cycles of highs and lows, which we may label as positive and negative energies.

By Rudaw http://www.rudaw.net/english/middleeast/iraq/27052018
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Iraq’s elections commission announced only results from Kirkuk province are yet to be confirmed as some parties have confiscated flash drives used as part of the electronic audit system for the May 12 parliamentary election.

Jay: ALLLLLL IMO.....
So let me take a stab at this 1190 thing. Yes the value went down. = Bad. But IIRC it was 3 months ago that the CBI started to buy and sell the USD at 1190 to within 2% at times. Mostly 1190. So it was done on the 2nd set of books in 2016 ish. Now its being done for real.
Hmmm... So maybe this rate change today was a graduation if you will, of the COMPLETION of the 2% compliance requirement from the IMF. WELL then DAT'S a GRRRRRREAT THING. 1190 or not. It means, to me that CBI is OFFICIALLY not making any money selling the USD in the eyes of the IMF, WB etc.
So why continue the auctions? <---IMF saying that. Well than I would venture to say that these auctions and the 24 is close at hand. Like Franky always says; let's see what deez knuckle heads do now.

If you are fortunate enough to receive an inheritance, buy a nice bottle of Champagne and toast your benefactor. But then institute a cooling-off period before you start spending, financial advisors recommend.
A new car, vacation or kitchen renovation may be in your future, but make sure you carefully assess your financial picture and retirement planning goals so you can maximize the inheritance for your long-term financial security.
"Say, 'I'm not going to do anything for three months.' Develop your plan. Don't react emotionally," says Ann Minnium, a certified financial planner and founder of Concierge Financial Planning LLC, based in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
