Should You Teach Your Children How To Become Millionaires?
June 26, 2018 by fritz@theretirementmanifesto.com

An article on Yahoo! Finance caught my eye this past week: 4 millionaire money habits to teach your kids, by Jeanie Ahn. I thought the advice was pretty good. Boiled down, you simply coach your kids to:

Save,
Understand compounding,
Avoid frivolous spending, and
Be charitable.

We can get behind that, right? Take these four pillars of smart personal finance and find ways to engrain them into those little impressionable minds. My question is whether it’s wise to impose a “millionaire mindset” on children.

Millionaire Interview #77  Part 2 of 2
July 23, 2018  By ESI

What has been your worst investment?

I tried investing in the stock market when I was in college, it was a nightmare.

I bought YHOO at $99 and was forced to sell due to a margin call when the stock hit $12 a share. I lost about $5,000, and that’s a lot of money for a poor college student.

But I did learn from it, that investing in stocks is just not my thing; I should stick with what I am good at, which is buying and holding a rental property.

What’s been your overall return?

Apartment rental business generates about 10% annual CAP, not including appreciation.

Healthcare business is about 30% annual ROI, not including the value of the business.

How often do you monitor/review your portfolio?

Don’t have a stock portfolio, but I do monitor my net worth on an Excel file monthly.

MilitiaMan:  What I find interesting in this is not only about the justice that is to come for the people of Iraq it is that they too, let us know more of the story. The shell game Iraq has been playing politically. The timing of the suggest and supports your/Franks view that the GOI is important, yet not so important as they can't get things done. This makes me feel that the GOI is seated, just not for our eyes, yet.

With or with out immunity, those charges come at a time and place that is not from the USA, it is from the likes of Sistani and Sadr, thus, they are taking it on first and foremost. I suspect they'll have a crack at him before the World Court does if, ever.. They may not get the chance.
