Cree: @tman23 True - funny how they will all go down with a sinking ship rather then fix what is right. When well the NFL, ESPN and the Dem's realize they are on the wrong side of the road..... Some people never learn.

tman23: @ElmerFudd .....15 hours and the Kurds will be at the polls voting........ At the 11th hour......It's a united Kurdistan...... Something we have not witnessed anywhere in Iraq....... Kurds are united for YES !

ElmerFudd: @tman23 What do you think will happen then?

whynot: If it were not for gravity I would be gone>!!!!!!

ElmerFudd: @tman23 Do you think the GOI will cave in and give them what they want?

tman23: @ElmerFudd ..... Not a matter of leverage to get what they want...... It is a matter of security and stability and self determination..... The Kurds .....they suffer economic oppression due to the GOI .......They have security and stability...... Iraq is stagnate because of the GOI....... They need Abadi 4 more years......... But Kurds are the bright lite in all this......

Aggiedad77: Family......may I point to a few things.....good things fact very good......has anyone been keeping a scorecard on FM Jaafari and who he had "side" meetings with in NYC.......those are of the utmost importance IMO.....

For IMO it is those types of meetings where so much can be and often is accomplished....not so much in the large venue types of meetings.....Jaafari as a former Prime Minister of Iraq knows how to be a mover and shaker......

IMO Abadi chose this man very wisely to take his place in NYC at the UNGA (United Nations General Assembly) meetings.....he knew Jaafari's experience would be he's not Abadi but he still can speak with authority....and he didn't go there to carouse and party.....he had serious meetings with many serious players......

Jack Malvern

September 25 2017, 12:01am, The Times

In what may sound like an extraordinary act of carelessness, a city thought to have been founded by Alexander the Great was lost for more than 2,000 years.
