“And then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom”. -Anaïs Nin risks-worth-takingThere is nothing quite like the comfort of your own world. Everything is going along how you think it should be.

You know exactly how things are and what to expect from yourself and those around you. At least most of the time. And then, all of a sudden, something changes. And you didn’t have anything to say about it. And you don’t really like it at all.

Notes From The Field By Simon Black
December 26, 2017  Sovereign Valley Farm, Chile

Yes, governments CAN go bankrupt. And no, it’s NOT impossible…

In the year 1517, one of the most important innovations in financial history was invented in Amsterdam: the government bond.

It was a pretty revolutionary concept.

Governments had been borrowing money for thousands of years… quite often at the point of a sword.

Italian city-states like Venice and Florence had been famously demanding “forced loans” from their wealthy citizens for centuries.

But the Dutch figured out how to turn government loans into an “investment”.

Re:  Frank26 video 12-31-17

StephenMac63: Had a thought......in some companies when you get paid every two weeks you would get paid not for the last two weeks you just worked but the two week period before that. Example I work from Dec 1-15 at a new job, I dont get paid yet when everyone is getting paid....I then work from Dec 16-31 and collect my paycheck from Dec 1-15.

So yes, even if i get "paid" on Jan 15....its for the work I did on Dec 15-31 the previous year. So, just because I dont "see" it, doesnt mean it didnt happen.

This is one of those allegory things. (big grin)

StephenMac63: An example of winning and getting the prize later.....a USA Presidency.....they win in Nov and become a President 2 months later.

IRAQ IS IN AN INTERNATIONAL STAGE LIKE NEVER BEFORE AND IMO IT HAS RUN OUT OF TIME...

THE START OF A YEAR IS A GOOD TIME AND THE OTHER TIME IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR..
