Money Basics: How the stock market works
In general terms, the stock market is where investors buy and sell shares of stocks. There are two types of markets: the primary capital market and the secondary capital market.
In the primary capital market, investors buy shares of stock from companies that issue the shares to raise money, most commonly through initial public offerings (IPOs). These offerings are handled by underwriters like Wall Street investment banks.

CharlieOK: Baghdad Mall is a commercial complex located in the capital of Al-Harthiya district at the Damascus intersection with Al-Kindi Street, one of the largest shopping complexes in Baghdad, costing about US $ 127 million. Hmmm. How did they pay for this w/o revaluing in order to have currency to pay the contractors? Hmmmm. How did they do this and not have security?

Robert001: Charlie,, to your point about the new Mall. Who can shop there w/o $$$$$$ also heard today thru a source that the contractor have their accounts topped up every three or so months. They are not waiting to get paid.

Wycofful: Robert001 I have been wondering the same thing, how is a Mall going to survive without $$$

CharlieOK: Robert, great point about needing customers in the mall with currency that has some value. Don't forget about how long it took to build the mall. Just like all the ATMs that were installed and Abadi referring to such.

Luvwulfs: I believe all the loans have helped with getting the country going. They will need the RV to keep it running.

If you’re planning for your retirement, you might want to consider opening an investment account known as an annuity.
A type of insurance contract, annuities can provide a steady source of income during your retirement. These contracts can supplement, or be a substitute for, other types of retirement accounts like 401(k)s or Roth IRAs.
