BGG News Highlights & Comments 2-2-18
BGG ~ Whether we like it or not – this is big news. Maliki plans on trying to retake the PMship in Iraq, even though he doesn’t qualify because of term limits, even though he is corrupt, even though he will destroy the country – he will try. Incredibly – they are letting him run. He should be under investigation… or in jail.
BTW – this appears to be a well-timed announcement (on Maliki’s part). You think he doesn’t know the world is deathly afraid of him?
DELTA: JUST ASK ALAQ WHAT DID HE DO LAST NIGHT!!! (Wed. Night)
Dogluvr: seems to be some excitement in the air....what did Alak do last night?
Chicano98: No, what did he do last night? took the CBI server down for a while that's all I have guys & gals
ChrisC: When I heard Trump talk about Obama screwing up and letting Baghdadi slip through their fingers, I knew he was setting the board for the announcement of the capture and imprisonment in Gitmo of Baghdadi. I am sure they have him now, but are waiting for the "right" time to deliver the news.
AFTER THE WAR; No Electricity but Kuwait Reopens Its Banks
By DONATELLA LORCH, Special to The New York Times
Published: March 25, 1991
KUWAIT CITY, March 24— It still has no water and little electricity or food, but Kuwait revived its banking system today, introducing a new currency.
Banks reopened for the first time since Iraqi occupation forces shut them down in December. Thousands of people lined up to exchange their old Kuwaiti dinars for crisp new ones and to withdraw a limited amount of money.
Without electricity, the banks services were slow, limited to money exchange and withdrawal. There was no telex, no electronic money transfer and no telephones. The computers were unusable, so all transactions had to be entered by hand.

Manaolana3: FAMILY, HERE IS A SYNOPSIS FROM LAST NIGHT'S AND MON'S CC OF FRANK'S CONVERSATION WITH WALKINGSTICK.
WalkingStick: "FRANK, I NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL YOU ABOUT THESE DEPOSIT OF GUARANTEE, BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE CLASSES WE DID WITH THE PRIVATE BANKS IN THE SUMMER, AND TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, WHAT YOU ARE READING, WAS DONE A LONG TIME AGO.
THE MEDIA IS CATCHING UP WITH THE CENTRAL BANKS' ACTIONS OF THE MR,(monetary reform) BUT, I CAN GUARANTEE WHAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU IS GOOD FOR THE MR TO COME OUT FOR THE REINSTATEMENT OF THEIR CURRENCY.
I ALSO WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THEY ARE MUCH, MUCH FARTHER ALONG THAN WHAT THESE ARTICLES ARE TELLING YOU.
THIS IS A PROCESS OF THE MR TILL THEY REINSTATE.
