BobS: BAGHDAD,— The Islamic State group still hold three significant towns in Iraq. But the fight to get the extremist group out of there will be way more complicated than anything that came before.
The Iraqi government declared victory against the extremist Islamic State group in Mosul recently and this was cause for major celebration among Iraqis. However the extremists are far from eradicated in Iraq.
Several strongholds remain. But the battle to push the Islamic State, or IS, group out of these places will be more complicated than previous, straight forward fights have been in places like Fallujah and Tikrit. The stalemate between Turkey and Iran in this area poses a serious political challenge for the Iraqi government.

Eighteen centuries ago in the year 212 AD, the Roman Empire was in dire financial straits.

Emperor Caracalla had nearly bankrupted the treasury spending lavishly on his personal proclivities, waging pointless wars, and executing some of Rome’s most productive citizens.

We’re talking about a guy who murdered his brother (Geta) in order to become Emperor, and then had Geta’s name stricken from every official record.

Caracalla made it a capital crime for anyone to even mention his brother’s name.

The Wealthy Chinese Have Yuan Concern: Preserving Their Wealth
JUL 26, 2017

More recently, the wealthy Chinese seem to be moving to major metropolitan areas due to worries over the stability of China’s currency.
In China, productivity and profitability take a back seat to politics.
The U.S. is the number one stomping ground for the wealthy Chinese, but surprisingly New York is not the most popular destination. Los Angeles leads, followed by Seattle, San Francisco, and New York coming in fourth.
