Here’s how a few government pension funds are trying to close their $7 trillion funding gap
There may perhaps be no other group of investors that’s more DESPERATE today than pension funds.
Pensions, of course, are the giant funds responsible for paying out retirement benefits to workers.
The idea is that both the employer and the employee typically contribute a set percentage of the employee’s salary throughout his or her career with the promise that, upon retirement, he or she will receive a fixed monthly payment.
Stranger: Like the old sermon: "Payday Some Day".......sounds like Iraq has responsibilities and pressures (TIME LIMITS) to live up to....that they CANNOT ignore and therefore have to live up to or become OVERDUE....praying the "grace period" is over!
Walkingstick: Economist: Iraq borrowed 70 billion dollars in recent years
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The loans borrowed by Iraq from the countries and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have reached about 70 billion dollars, the economic expert said on Wednesday, adding that
donors are following up their money in the country to prevent tampering with them by corrupt people.
"Iraq has borrowed from many sources, and the total amount is estimated at about 70 billion dollars," Antoine told Iraq News. "
Donors have set time limits for Iraq, and Iraq can not overdue the date of return of the funds."
JESTER] HELLO AND HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE...
[Pollyp] Jester are all the Iraqi bank connections important? are they important in our ultimate goal?
[Pollyp] Jester, the articles on the other site has posted a few articles that the Iraqi banks have connected to 1000 of the world’s top banks. Of course everybody is saying this is a huge bit of news. I figure if it's anything at all you'd be the one to know
[JESTER] Pollyp WELL SO WHAT... THEY ARE THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE COUNTRY... WHY WOULDN'T THEY BE CONNECTED TO A LOT OF OTHER CENTRAL BANKS... EVEN SOME OF THE FOREIGN LARGER BANKS... POSSIBLY SOME WOULD LIKE TO COME TO IRAQ WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT... I DON'T SEE WHY THAT IS DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER CENTRAL BANK...
