tman23: Iraqi Kurdistan expressed readiness to station observers to local Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports, but the province would not accept the officers of the federal government.........
THE QUESTION IS....... Why are observers needed at the airports now ? What are they observing ? Somebody might try to sneak in independence ? Sneak out luggage filled with oil ? Didn't need observers at the airports when ISIS was in it's prime.......OBSERVE WHAT ??
Duke77: @tman23 do you get the feeling the referendum is being used to distract from something else?

chattels: Reading a statement addressing the foreign missions in the Kurdistan Region, including the UN, US and the United Kingdom, a spokesperson stated that the ban will affect 400 Kurdish companies and causes some 7,000 job losses. He described the decision by the Iraqi government as “unilateral and oppressive...that directly and collectively punishes the people of Kurdistan
chattels: I expect that part of the Kurdish response and effort to garner support for their cause against Baghdad will devolve into arguing that the actions of the GOI are punitive regarding the people of Kurdistan.
Mark: I believe Frank talks in timelines. Here are the main points he presented in the CC last night:
1. The “vote” was just an opinion poll. . .it has created a hiccup. . .
2. J’s meetings are all hush-hush. . .IMO, The reason for this is because he gave Abadi’s speech with all the talking points, individually to all the people he met with. Abadi wants to give that speech HIMSELF to HIS country therefore it is staying out of the media!! IMO, A will give speech in Sept still.
3. The second set of classes has not yet started. It is supposed to start the first week of October. I think the first set of classes was sept 20-23. They took 4 Days from Wed - Sun. . .maybe the 2nd classes will be Wed- Sun 1st week of Oct?
IMO: Speech —> Classes —> RI
Frank26: Hmmm .............. KTFA FAMILY is impressive today .
