President Donald Trump promised a "tremendous amount of trade" with Vietnam as he was welcomed at the presidential palace for a meeting with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang.

Trump said the two countries would be exchanging "billions and billions" of dollars in trade.  Trump is in Hanoi for a brief state visit and will later head to the Philippines for a pair of summits that will close out his trip to Asia.
