In Fréderic Ozanam’s original vision for the Society, he expressed a desire that Vincentians use their meetings as an opportunity to serve neighbors in need and personal spiritual growth. When Vincentians gather together at traditional meetings and innovative webinars, they can share their talents and resources in service of our neighbors in need.
Please check out these great opportunities for the Fred Talks - great 4 - 5 minute videos that can be used for reflection at your Conference meetings!

Gospel: (Luke 24:46-53)
Jesus said to his disciples: “Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Then he led them out as far as Bethany, raised his hands, and blessed them. As he blessed them, he parted from them and was taken up to heaven. They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God. National Gazette Questions and Answers
Q: Our Conference serves neighbors in need with HIV/AIDS on a regular basis and has done so for many years. We do not put them into our database for obvious reasons. Should we report these neighbors the way we have in the past as just hours without declaring the amount of help given?
A: It is assumed that the assistance provided is the same as for anyone else. Case records should be created as is done for any other neighbor and with the financial assistance recorded. Health information is not required nor recommended to be in anyone’s files. If Conference members are visiting as shut-ins or hospital visits, then the visits should be recorded as such.
Preguntas y Respuestas de la
Oficina Nacional
