Sacred Grounds Spring Series
Sacred Ground is a film- and readings-based dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. Small groups are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race and racism, while weaving in threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. The 11-part series is built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings that focus on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian/Pacific American histories as they intersect with European American histories.

All are welcome, whether you’re an Episcopalian or not. Although the curriculum has white Euro-Americans in mind, Sacred Ground is for every individual and for the Church as a whole, because we have all been impacted by caste systems of race.

Tending the Vine Series: Listening for Jesus in Non-Dominant Voices
As we continue to strengthen and grow meaningful relationships with Jesus in our congregations and throughout our diocese, we will spend time together at the Tending the Vine and Clergy zooms in May considering what voices might be missing in our churches. Who in our neighborhoods is not represented? How can we be more intentional about paying attention to who is not in our midst and how to eagerly invite them to participate in our communities?

The Tending The Vine Series is free and open to all members of the diocese.

Update your Asset Map with Lent & Easter Service Times
Below follows a message invitation to update the Episcopal Asset map with your congregation’s information (worship times, etc) heading into Lent. It’s fairly straightforward and easy to use.

“Did you know that the Asset Map gets its largest amounts of visits during Holy Week? While ASA has diminished, there are many who still seek a place of worship for Easter or ways to connect with a new faith community during this time. That is why we are offering you a set of social media badges to help get all our service time and formation information updated on the Asset Map.

Please take the time to:

DON'T FORGET YOUR WEBSITE EITHER!
While you are busy updating the map, don't forget to update your church website withs pecial services and times as well.

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS - ECF VESTRY PAPERS

We hope that you are already on the list to receive the Vestry Papers, (and if not we commend them to you). We want to call attention to this month’s edition that is all about disaster preparedness. We've had a number of conversations about how to start talking in our congregations about disasters, including active shooters, and the articles in these vestry papers deal with those questions.

FROM THE VESTRY PAPERS:
While most disasters occur unexpectedly, there is much we can do to prepare ahead for our physical, emotional and even spiritual protection and wellbeing. As we are living in times when unspeakable tragedies are transpiring every day – natural and human-made – we cling to our God, while we do all we can to affect change and protect our families and communities. This issue is full of practical ideas and resources to help get us started on this difficult but important journey. Let us walk it together and learn. Read More
