A Call for Workshop Proposals for the 2025 Annual Convention – "We Have a Witness Yet to Make"
This year, the Episcopal Church in Colorado will host online workshops on Saturday, October 4, 2025, the weekend prior to the Annual Convention gathering in Pueblo.
We are now seeking proposals for workshops that focus on courageous and hopeful approaches to church life and ministry. At our convention, the story of God speaking to us in Colorado will inspire us. When we seek to welcome people into our community with even greater intention, what will be the result? Living out our Baptismal Covenant in community requires a great deal of courage. What are you yearning for people to know about your faith, your community, and God’s work in the world? Together, we will explore our deep calling from God and how to connect as one Church. Workshops that explore our theme of “We Have a Witness Yet to Make" will be the focus of our pre-convention time together on Saturday, October 4.
All workshops will be 1 hour in length, with time for interaction and engagement of the material presented. Submit your workshop proposal of 200 words or less to the Rev. Canon Greg Foraker by August 18, 2025.

Regional Grant Applications Now Open!
Do you have a ministry with leadership, energy, and opportunity, but lack the necessary resources to further develop it? Consider applying for a Regional Grant! Each of the 5 Regions of the Episcopal Church in Colorado accepts grant requests to support locally owned strategic mission initiatives. In the past, regional grants have supported solar-powered batteries for Navajoland, backpacks filled with healthy snacks for children in Westcliffe, hot meals at St. Clare's Supper in Denver, and more.
To support a healthy and sustainable diocesan community, the Episcopal Church in Colorado has implemented an Assessment-Compliance Policy for Diocesan Grants. This policy ensures that congregations contribute to our shared mission by meeting their annual 10% diocesan assessment or actively working toward compliance through an approved plan. Rather than being punitive, this approach fosters transparency and partnership, encouraging open conversations about stewardship and shared responsibility.
The grant application deadline of October 1 is fast approaching, so please take a few moments to review the application guidelines, collect the necessary support documents, and apply online.

Becoming Beloved Community Grants
Episcopalians interested in Becoming Beloved Community grants are invited to apply. These grants are funded by the General Convention budget and are designed to support projects that seek to create sustainable, systemic change in truth-telling; sharing the dream of Beloved Community; practicing healing and reconciliation; and repairing the breach in institutions and society. Priority will be given to initiatives that address policy advocacy, systems transformation, and environmental change strategies. Projects may include efforts to reform institutional policies, shift cultural norms, reallocate resources, or influence public systems and structures in ways that align with the vision of Becoming Beloved Community. The deadline to apply for grants will be August 31. Grants include seed grants up to $7,500 and impact grants up to $15,000. Seed grants are geared toward groups launching new projects or growing existing projects. Impact grants are aimed primarily at increasing the capacity, impact, and reach of communities and institutions already working to advance justice, healing, reconciliation, and creation care.
