Recommendations for the Tenth Bishop of Albany Due by 11/15

The Profile and Search Committee will continue to receive recommendations for nominations for the Tenth Bishop of Albany through November 15th. Each person recommended will be considered for nomination, regardless of how many recommendations are received for any given individual.

What Brings You Joy in Your Ministry as Deacon

The annual Deacons’ Retreat is scheduled for January 20-22, 2023, at Christ the King Center. 

Bishop Michael Smith, Assisting Bishop in the Diocese of Albany and the Diocese of Dallas, will be our retreat leader. The retreat theme will be exploring what brings you joy in your ministry as a deacon. During a recent meeting of the Deacon’s Council, we discussed Frederick Buechner’s quote: “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” Bp. Smith will use this quote to help frame our retreat conversations. We look forward to gathering for worship with abundant quiet and reflection time.
