Episcopal Night at Petco Park

This will be a fun summer night with fellow Episcopalians! Sign up to sing in the diocesan choir that will perform the National Anthem prior to the game. The game starts at 7:10 p.m. but you can enjoy the Party in the Park beforehand which features food and drink specials, country music and more. Bishop Search Update
Transition Committee Formed
Our transition committee has gathered and held its first planning retreat. They will shepherd our bishop candidates through the interview process, facilitate walkabouts, and assist with the finalist's move. They are also responsible for the consecration and ordination service, which will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at St. Paul's Cathedral, San Diego.

Wear Orange on Saturday, June 2
Wear Orange on the National Day of Remembrance for victims and survivors of gun violence in America on June 2.  On an average day in America 96 people die from guns, seven of them are children.

Pride Parade: March with Episcopalians
Saturday, July 14

Bear witness to God's fearless love by marching in San Diego's Gay Pride parade with the diocese. Come early to participate in a street Eucharist during the staging time, walk the parade route and enjoy a barbeque at the Cathedral afterward. The parade starts at 11 a.m. We will gather at the staging area at 9:45 a.m. so the Eucahrist can start promptly at 10 a.m. Gather at the Cathedral at 9:30 a.m. to take a shuttle to the staging area.

General Convention in Austin
Eight deputies will represent the Diocese of San Diego at the 79th General Convention July 5-13. Learn about our deputation.

General Convention gathers every three years to vote on resolutions, elect candidates, and approve a budget, as well as strengthen the bonds of our affection across the entire Episcopal Church.

During the convention, Bishop Katharine and deputies will post updates on the diocesan blog and Facebook page. Beginning July 3, worship and legislative sessions will be streamed online on the Media Hub.

All Souls', Point Loma will produce Britten's 45 minute children's opera, Noye's Fludde (Noah's Flood) on June 8 and 9. You do not need to be a member of All Souls' to participate. The more the merrier!

Not only did our presiding bishop, the Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, preach at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19, he preached so powerfully that he attracted worldwide attention. He has appeared on The View , the Today Show , Good Morning America , and has inspired a skit on Saturday Night Live .

Dr. Richard Lederer, dubbed the Abbot of Absurdity by the Boston Globe, and America's Wittiest Verbalist by Book of the Month Club will present an Evening of Language and Laughter, spiced with faith-filled fun from the Bible at All Souls', Point Loma. Auctions, poker and more fun to be had. Funds raised will support the All Souls' capital campaign to expand mission and ministries.

English Conversation Ministry
Volunteers Wanted
Help refugees learn English through conversation. We meet every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Alban's, El Cajon. No need to register. Just show up. We need English, Arabic, and Karen speakers alike. Enjoy cookies and coffee and the chance to have conversations with members of our refugee community. Everyone will learn in the process. Join us for this enriching experience.
