Bishop Susan Brown Snook visited the joyful congregation of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in North Park on Sunday, October 17, 2021, to celebrate the church's return to parish status in the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. 

The Revs. Laurel and Colin Mathewson's leadership over the last five years has grown St. Luke's into a bustling community. Youth at Convention
Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to a light party at the Episcopal Church Center in Ocean Beach. After a year of separation, we are looking forward to lighting up the night together! 

As with all diocesan events, persons age 12 and up are required to bring proof of vaccination to the event. Youth who are in sixth grade, but still 11 years old, must arrive with a negative test result. All attendees are expected to wear a mask when inside. 

The event includes tacos, music, games, t-shirt, black lights, glow sticks, and time to laugh and play with friends from around the diocese.

Where: The Episcopal Church Center, 2083 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, Ocean Beach
When: November 6, 2021 - 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Who: Youth in grades 6-12

Veterans Day in the US, Remembrance Day or Armistice Day elsewhere, is remembered on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month – since 1918, when “the war to end all wars” came to an end.

Veterans are just ordinary people who served this country with honor. They are ordinary people who may have unglamorous assignments but still, they served; whose lives are sometimes disrupted and still they served; whose health may be compromised and still they served. Open Enrollment is Coming
All Employees of Congregations in the Diocese (and Employees of the Diocese)--Open Enrollment is coming. Health and Dental insurance plans will remain unchanged in 2022. If you are an employee of the diocese and work more than 1,000 hours, you will be offered the chance to enroll in the Denominational Health Plan from October 27 to November 17. Be on the lookout for a green envelope from the Church Pension Group with your enrollment package, and a letter from your employer in the next few weeks with more information. The Rev. Jeff Martinhauk, Chief Financial Officer, is happy to help answer any questions.

St. Paul's Cathedral and Mission Hills UMC invite you and your family to a Trunk or Treat Halloween Celebration.
