Giving Thanks for God's Provision &Supporting Our Parish Communities
Assessment Relief for Parishes

The Diocese is pleased to share news of a special, one-time reduction in parish assessments this year. Each parish will benefit from relief equivalent to one month's payment of its annual Fair Share assessment. This Assessment Relief will be applied to the upcoming July parish statements.

This decision reflects both the strong performance of the Diocese’s Consolidated Trust Fund (CTF) investments last year and an understanding of the financial pressures faced by many parishes and parishioners. Challenges such as inflation, economic uncertainty, rising building maintenance and depreciation costs, and the increasing impact of climate change continue to affect our communities.

As stewards of the resources entrusted to us, we are grateful for the positive investment returns achieved last year. We thank God for His provision, which allows us to extend tangible support to our parishes. By sharing a portion of these returns, we aim to provide some financial relief and sustain the ongoing ministry and mission of our congregations.

Please note that this relief is a one-time measure, and future assessments may vary depending on economic conditions and investment performance. We appreciate your continued faithful stewardship, contributions, and dedication to ministry throughout the Diocese. Let us remain hopeful that God's providential guidance will sustain our shared labour in Christ’s ministry where we are planted.
