Religious Life Sunday

Did you know that The Episcopal Church has monks and nuns? This fact has been referred to as "the best kept secret in The Episcopal Church"! But we don't want it to be a secret any longer.

The General Convention resolution 2022-B004 created Religious Life Sunday to be held each year on the 3rd Sunday of Epiphany. This observance focuses our efforts to tell all Episcopalians and Anglicans about our monastic and Christian Communities and what we offer the church. This year, it falls on Sunday, January 21.

The Religious Life has something to offer everyone. Monks and nuns, sisters and brothers in religious life, are trained and formed by traditions and practices that foster spiritual growth and discernment. The communities that they build spill over in love as they offer hospitality to all in Christ's name.
