The Cathedral of All Saints will host the Sacred Sites Open House Weekend, sponsored
by the New York Landmarks Conservancy, on May 18 & 19. This year’s theme is
Medieval to Modern: Celebrating New York’s Religious Art and Architecture
.
The Cathedral will be open for tours on Saturday from 11—4 o’clock.
A folio from
The Saint John’s Bible
, a beautiful, contemporary illuminated manuscript, will be on public view with a docent on Saturday, and our own Cathedral Verger will give lectures about the duties of medieval vergers to safeguard sacred books.
On Sunday the public is invited to the 2:30 organ recital
and 3:00 PM Festal Evensong. Volunteers are needed to assist with setup, greet guests; provide refreshments like cookies, brownies, soft drinks, &c. and clean up. Contact Roger Murman at 518-496-1576 or

To volunteer for this mission of hospitality. This is a great opportunity to share with the general public the worship space we so highly value, where we worship God in the beauty of holiness.
