THIS WEEKEND!
Deliverance Really?
Saturday, August 24, 2019
9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m .
Seminar led by Fr. Mark Chesnut and Susan LaDuke
$25 per person materials
and lunch included
Regardless of how we feel about the demonic, demons, and evil, and whether we believe in them or not, they are nonetheless a reality that we must contend with as Christians. The task of any ministry for folks demonized or oppressed by demons is not simply for specialists. Jesus gave authority to the 12, but also to 72 other disciples to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and drive out ALL demons (Luke 9 & 10). This indicates that it was not solely work for the apostles, but also a necessary and normal part of ministry for disciples of Christ. But how to go about it so that Christ can set the captives free? The seminar will present numerous Scriptural references, set the issue in a Scriptural context, define what is meant by evil, satan, and demons, and provide practical counsel so that Christians may provide, as needed, intercession for deliverance. It will also emphasize that the most important aspect of deliverance ministry is not casting out demons, which is secondary, but getting the person healed.
