Items Donated to the Seamen's Church Institute
Throughout the year, women in our diocese have been busy knitting and crocheting hats, scarves, neck warmers and ear warmers for men and women they will likely never have a chance to meet.

The Seaman's Church Institute was formed in 1834 by the Episcopal Church to provide pastoral care, education, legal services and social services for commercial mariners on oceans and inland waters.

Many of these hard working people are away from family and friends at the holidays so the Institute sponsors a Christmas at Sea ministry and they pack holiday boxes with necessities and treats to bring holiday cheer. Each box contains a hand knit or crocheted hat and/or scarf to ward off the winter winds and that is where we come in.
This past year we had 6 ladies who worked throughout the year and produced a bounty of creations!

If you like keeping your fingers busy and would like to join in please contact Paulette at  mothirmoon@hotmail.com
