FROM THE OFFICE OF THE BISHOP
Remember to give to the work of your church as we are in this reality of physical separation that keeps us from meeting. Canon Andrea reminds us, "We all desire to see our churches thrive even in the midst of difficult times." That happens in a large part thorough your pledges and your gifts. Give online, give through the mail, and give often.

Online resources for people in recovery
Isolation is perilous for people in recovery. We learn that our sobriety depends upon keeping connected to sober people, being accountable to others, being of service to others. Read more from Rev. Anne...

NEWS AND EVENTS IN AND BEYOND THE DIOCESE
Recognition for a film series from Grace, St. Helena
The Rev Amy Denny Zuniga chants the Exsultet during
the film "Darkness", made
for Easter Vigil
"When we remember who we are and who God is; when we give thanks for that, we
are making Eucharist
in a very real way"
"Alleluia, Christ is risen.
The Lord is risen, indeed.
Alleluia." (both quotes
from the film "Dawn" made for Easter Vigil)
When it was announced that worship would be at home during Holy Week, The Rev. Amy Denny Zuniga and the people of Grace, St. Helena, made some decisions. They decided that they would work together to make The Great Triduum something that they would truly remember.

Brian Capener, a professional filmmaker, is one of those determined members. Together with a cast from the church, including Rev. Amy, he shot 5 films designed to be used in worship on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and during The Great Vigil of Easter. Grace Church shared those films with the diocese and gave a gift of worship to many. This weekend, their story was featured in an article about Easter worship in the Napa Register.

If you haven't seen the films, you will want to visit Grace, St. Helena's website and experience them for yourself. Click here to view the films.

Thank you Grace Episcopal Church, St. Helena, The Rev Amy Denny Zuniga, and Brian Carpenter for sharing the fruits of your labors. We are richer because of your generous offering.
