186th Diocesan Convention

Thank you to all who attedned the 186th Diocesan Convention! We are so grateful for such a wonderful diocese! We were blessed to have Cole Arthur Riley lead a workshop and be our keynote speaker. We were overjoyed to receive The Table, Indianapolis as a mission congregation and to see the leadership of our youth and young adults. It was so good to be together and feel the Holy Spirit among us!

We will work to put up pictures on Facebook and video from the convention later this week and next week on our YouTube channel.

We are always trying to improve our convention, so if you have feedback you haven't yet shared, please feel free to share it by taking the Diocesan Convention Survey.

A Celebration of Mr. George M. Plews and Bishop-Elect Kristin Uffelman White

During the Friday night banquet dinner of the 186th Diocesan Convention, Bishop Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows read a citation for Mr. George M. Plews (who, due to illness was unable to be present) offering thanks for 35 years of service as diocesan chancellor and announcing a gift in his name to St. Richard’s Episcopal School. The Bishop also offered a commendation for the ministry of the Rev. Canon Kristin Uffelman White, who on September 30 of this year was elected as the Tenth Bishop of Southern Ohio. The Bishop expressed gratitude for Canon Kristin’s faithful service and leadership over the past five years as the Canon to the Ordinary for Congregational Development. Canon Kristin received a standing ovation from those in attendance, and the Bishop announced that new green vestments have been commissioned from Tom Honderich to be given as a consecration gift from the Diocese of Indianapolis.

God willing and the people consenting, Canon Kristin will be ordained and consecrated as the Tenth Bishop of Southern Ohio on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
