This month we feature Dione Taylor, one of our upcoming Women's Blues Revue guest musicians (as well as a Live on the Patio performer in August!), the 2018 Talent Search winner Bywater Blues and much more !
Blues on the Patio
The two free shows are presented in partnership with the Toronto Blues Society.
Roy Thomson Hall partners once again with the Toronto Blues Society for its Live on the Patio series over the summer from early July to end of August. Events will be free, open to the public and will take place on the patio of Roy Thomson Hall.

Blues lovers will be able to listen to some top musicians as part of the program. Two of the headliners announced for the upcoming the Women's Blues Revue - Dione Taylor and Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar - will be on the patio on Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23 respectively. Doors are open at 5pm, music starts at 6pm.

Maple Blues Awards Host: Raoul Bhaneja
An audience favourite, Raoul Bhaneja will charm and entertain attending blues fans through the night.
Humour, sharp wit and a few surprises are anticipated at The 22nd Maple Blues Awards as actor and musician Raoul Bhaneja returns to Koerner Hall to host the night! A winner and six-time Maple Blues Award nominee, Raoul competed at the semi-finals of the 2018 International Blues Challenge in Memphis with his band, The Big Time.

Public tickets are on sale now, so grab yours while it lasts and get ready for a star-studded lineup of performers! Tickets are available through the  Koerner Hall Box Office .

The Maple Blues Awards is Canada’s national blues awards program. Its goal is to promote blues music across Canada, and to recognize outstanding achievement in the field. Winners in all categories (excluding the instrumental categories) are decided by blues fans across Canada. Voting occurs online each November.

Blues Summit 9 at the Marriott Courtyard

Produced by Toronto Blues Society bi-annually, the Blues Summit  is Canada’s not-to-be-missed forum for all members of the blues music community including artists, presenters, agents, festival bookers, event organizers, radio hosts and industry representatives of all kinds. The conference provides an opportunity for members of the community to connect as well as for artists to showcase in front of blues industry professionals.

We are delighted to work with Marriott Courtyard as our host hotel for the Blues Summit 9 which takes place in February 1-4 . All the Blues Summit events and panels will be at the Marriott Courtyard in downtown Toronto. The Women's Blues Revue   returns with its 32nd edition, featuring some of Canada's finest musicians backed by the all-star Women's Blues Revue Band: Rebecca Hennessy  (Bandleader/Trumpet), Colleen Allen  (Sax), Emily Burgess  (Guitar), Carrie Chesnutt  (Sax), Morgan Doctor  (Drums), Carlie Howell  (Bass), Lily Sazz  (Keys). T oronto Blues Society will celebrate its annual show this year at Toronto's  Roy Thomson Hall , as Massey Hall temporarily closes its red doors for a 2-year   revitalization .

Free Online Course For Musicians!
Bandzoogle is partnering with online music school Soundfly to launch a free course “ How to Create a Killer Musician Website ”. Led by creative director and musician Delaney Gibson , this 1-hour-course is specifically created for independent musicians and artists who are looking to create a more professional online presence. Musicians will learn the importance of having a website, the elements of an effective website, how to build their site, and how it fits into their overall marketing strategy.
