Women & Family Life Center spearheads the Shoreline Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Taskforce and includes a group of informed non-profit agencies, municipal offices, and private practitioners. The mission of the Task Force is to provide education, coordinate resources, and aids in preventing domestic violence and sexual assault across Shoreline communities.

How to Contact a Referral Navigator

To access all programs & services at the Women & Family Life Center, participants must complete an intake process with a Referral Navigator. This process allows us to collect essential demographic information required to fulfill reporting obligations for our grant funders. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Strategies for Managing Life Transitions

The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with the coping skills needed to minimize unproductive responses to their identified life transition. The group is facilitated by Dr. Margo Merin, DSW who is certified in meditation and mindfulness, as well as grief and bereavement counseling.

Divorce & Money Workshop

Taking Care: Empowerment for Women Navigating Healthcare

Facilitator Maya Bartel, a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing in Guilford, will empower participants to explore their relationships with illness, their bodies, and their identity as a patient. This workshop is open to women who are 18 years or older. Maya will educate participants so they feel visible and fully represented in the health care system and establish a more productive partnership with their providers.

The Center’s Referral Navigators work to directly connect participants to community resources spanning crisis services, social services, mental health, financial and legal services. Through GAP, a participant learns how to outline their personal or family needs and to create an action plan. GAP is a unique service, not offered at any other organization on the Shoreline..

Wills vs Trusts: Estate Planning Workshop
