FT1000e Low Energy Series
Sometimes refinements are so comprehensive they amount to reinvention. The new Hobart Flight-Type Dishwasher features redesigned wash, airflow, and heat-retention elements, enabling use of lower electrical-draw components such as pumps, motors, heaters, etc. Result: 12%-20+% energy reduction depending on configuration, and smaller circuit breakers, all while maintaining wash quality.
The FT1000e is a recipient of this year’s What’s Hot! What’s Cool! What Works! recognition at NAFEM and a Kitchen Innovations Award recipient at the NRA show. Low Energy Advancements can save up to $6,700 annually on operating costs and the lowest Amp Load available can reduce installation costs up to $3,000. Advansys™ technologies like Ventless Energy Recovery provide further costs savings and Automatic Soil Removal helps save time and labor resources. To learn more, visit

FCSI Latin America: Synergetic Days
From June 11th to 14th we had the opportunity to participate in the 35th Annual Fispal Food Service Show in Sao Paulo, the most important food show in Latin America. For the 3rd year, the FCSI booth "Talk with an Expert" was a great success, serving more than 80 companies/people from all regions of Brazil. Several FCSI Brazilian Members attended and helped answer foodservice consultancy questions during the 30 minute private Talk with an Expert sessions. 100% of participants surveyed rated their experience as excellent/very good, strengthening our brand and making it synonymous with quality, professionalism, and ethics.
FCSI The Americas Chair, William Caruso, FFCSI (PP) and Chair Elect, Eric Norman, FCSI attended and have supported our efforts since FCSI's first participation in Fispal. Latin American FCSI members Heraldo Blasco from Argentina, Juan Matamoros, FCSI from El Salvador and Rod Matamoros from Mexico attended and contributed much to FCSI's efforts during the event by visiting exhibitors, exchanging experiences, and reinforcing the FCSI presence in Latin America.
It was clear to me that the synergy of those involved was amazing and points to the path of healthy and sustainable growth for the Society in Latin America. Thank you all!
We invite you all to join us at an event in Latin America next year!

The Upper Midwest Chapter raised $1,200.00 for the Educational Foundation at their annual networking reception last month. Much appreciated and a job well done!
Ed Norman, FFCSI (PP), the FCSI Educational Foundation President, encourages members to consider donating to the Foundation to help them reach their 2019-2020 goal of $200,000. Keep in mind all donations are 100% deductible to business due to our 501 c3 non-profit status.

Northeast Chapter's Golf Outing and Lobster Dinner
The 46
th Annual Kirikos Golf Tournament took place at Andover Country Club in Andover, Massachusetts on June 2. The tournament had a phenomenal turnout with 86 tee box sponsors and 128 golfers who hit the links. After the tournament, a New England Lobster boil was served for dinner.
Attendees don’t think of this day as just another business day. Many find it as a day to bond with colleagues and give back to those in need. This year’s charity of choice was the Christopher Ouellette Scholarship Fund. Christopher Ouellette lost his mother and primary care giver this past January to Influenza. Christopher has special needs and autism which requires 24/7 care. Christopher is in the process of being adopted by a close friend and neighbor, and the Northeast Chapter is excited to share their donation of $16,500.00 to his scholarship fund!
If you want to give back, join the Northeast Chapter as
they host the 47
th Annual Kirikos Golf Tournament on June 2, 2020 at Andover Country Club in Andover, Massachusetts!
