Survey examines drivers of health IT spending in 2018
|
|
Health IT leaders said technology spending this year will be mostly driven by value-based care initiatives, and more than 75% of respondents expect increased spending in data and analytics, but more than 60% cited inadequate readiness for new technologies as the main hindrance to growth. The survey also found that less than 25% of respondents reported the CIO is their organization's primary decision-maker.

Hospitals participating in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) Program receive annual hospital-specific reports (HSRs) for the readmission, mortality, complication, payment, and excess days in acute care (EDAC) measures. The information in these HSRs can help hospitals:
- Understand their performance on the measures before the information is publicly reported on Hospital Compare
- Understand which patients were included in their measure calculations
- Identify areas for quality improvement efforts

Heart Failure Affects 6.5 Million American Adults
|
|
Heart Failure affects 6.5 million American adults, and the medical costs associated with treatment is expected to rise to $53 billion by 2030. In a recent study, Quantros looked at the Incremental Consequences of Inpatient Medical Injuries Associated with Heart Failure Treatment. In the analysis, they found that PSI 13 (Postoperative sepsis rate) was the greatest contributor of excess charges, excess costs, and excess days of care amongst the top-ranked CareChex hospitals by state for Patient Safety in Heart Failure Treatment.

As was recently announced, Quintiles and IMS Health are now IQVIA. The new
IQVIA
enterprise is seeking ways to provide better value to its customers across all the areas served by aligning data analytics and technology solutions.
Effective March 8th, they will be transitioning the Get with the Guidelines Login Page to a new URL. Please know that your username and password will remain the same.
The single URL will ensure users can always access the appropriate login to the Get With The Guidelines registry they participate in. Over the coming months, login URL’s may change as they update platforms for enhanced functionality and user experience. However, this single URL will remain constant through the evolution of the registries.
