Director Davis and DODD Stands with You in Partnership and Support
As we pause momentarily to reflect on this year and look forward to this holiday season, I want to say how thankful I am to work with all of you who are so dedicated and steadfast in your commitment to supporting Ohioans with developmental disabilities and their families through what has been a most turbulent time.

The work done and sacrifices made by our DSPs, our providers, and our county boards throughout this pandemic have been nothing short of heroic. And as the virus continues its destructive path throughout our system, that work continues to be of utmost importance.

The department stands with you in partnership and support. We know your work is consuming and your time is spent in ways that are vital to the safety of the people you support. In recognition and response to requests of stakeholders, we will be delaying implementation of the Ohio ISP, suspending our compliance and accreditation reviews, and pausing our Blueprint for Adult Day and Employment Services Work Group activities.

Timelines for Resumption of Activities

Ohio ISP - We will look for the implementation to begin in late summer of 2021. This will allow us to properly test the assessment, plan, and on-line platform while preparing to train all parts of our system thoroughly and collaboratively before implementation.

Provider Compliance and County Board Accreditation Reviews - Resumption of these reviews will be scheduled for March 1st, 2021. Special reviews will continue throughout the intervening period as needed.

Blueprint for Adult Day and Employment Services Work Group - Work Group activities will resume in Spring of 2021.

Thank you again for all that you do and have done over this past year. We wish for you a happy and meaningful holiday season.
