Psalm 100
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations
Dear Prince of Peace Family and Friends,
I love Psalm 100’s message of worshiping the Lord, who made us, who gathers us as his sheep, whose love endures forever, and whose faithfulness continues through all generations. Because of all those great works of God, we worship Him with joy, gladness, joyful songs, thanksgiving, and praise! Because of this, every Sunday at Prince of Peace, we seek to KNOW GOD through worship!
It is with great joy and gratitude that I announce to you today that Allison Schweitzer will be joining Prince of Peace to serve as full-time Director of Worship Arts! If you didn’t get a chance to read more about her, see her bio here. Allison is a life-long Lutheran with experience in all the areas of worship we embrace at Prince of Peace. It was such a joy to get to know her in the process and see God’s hand at work along the way.
I would like to thank lay leader Patrick Maloney and all the search team for their hard work (M.E. Sorenson, EJ Ramos, Richard Brown, Kait Bonifaz, and Pastor Mark Boriack). Our team conducted a national search utilizing many avenues to identify potential candidates (LCMS commissioned minister search, Concordia University system, Worship Arts Leadership Initiative, The Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, etc...). After receiving multiple resumes, nine candidates were selected to complete questionnaires. Six candidates participated in a zoom interview process and one on-site visit was completed with Allison Schweitzer. After Allison’s on-site visit, there was a unanimous recommendation from the search team (endorsed by the lead staff) to offer the Director of Worship Arts position to Allison Schweitzer.
Allison has graciously accepted the position and in her acceptance had some wonderful words for us: “Thank you, once again, for this incredible opportunity. I have absolutely felt God's hand at work throughout the entirety of this process. ...I feel not only 100% ready to be employed by the church, but also to become a member... THANK YOU for all you have done to make this opportunity possible for me. I'm extraordinarily blessed, and am looking forward to my work with you to share Christ's love with others via Prince of Peace.”
Thank you, Prince of Peace, for keeping this search in prayer. Many churches wait 2 to 3 years to find a worship director and God has provided a new partner in ministry with us very quickly. Please pray for Allison as she transitions and ends her ministry and business in Wisconsin. I know you will welcome her with loving arms when she joins us this summer.
I’m grateful to be one of your pastors,
Pastor Michael Hayes
