It’s somehow already Mother’s Day weekend (shout-out to all you fishin’ moms!) where does time go? Saw this “Mother’s Day wish list” posted on a friend’s FB and had to add a bonus line to it – make it ALL happen fellas [!] and not just one day of the year:

It can be a painfully long wait (sometimes a lifetime!) to join the “dirty-30 club” aka catching a walleye that’s 30” or better....
*Jadyn Thomas has entered the chat*
1. Jadyn punched his ticket with this gorgeous, egg-filled walleye that went 30.5” long x 18.25” girth and weighed 11.1 lbs! Caught fishing from SHORE on, you guessed it...Devils Lake, ND while slinging a 3.5” Berkley Flicker Shad (fire perch) and 1/4-oz @daddyshandtiedjigs Bald Head Jig on his 2B Genesis 6’10” ML XF. 🙌 Big congrats, dude! No doubt earned it:

And here’s your #ProveIt of the week 💪 not that Warren needs to. Also love how rashed-up that Flicker Minnow is – definitely not its first rodeo:
3. Here’s another club member coming out of Devils Lake 💯 this time a 30.25-incher that had already dropped the kids off at daycare (spawned) by the time Tanner Flack caught it this morning – said he was throwing a 1/4-oz VMC Bucktail Jig tipped with a minner:

This right here is what 33.51 lbs (40.55") of zander looks like! It’s Rasmus TC’s new personal best...I mean it’d be outrageous if it wasn’t. I believe the post said it’s the second biggest zander ever caught 🤷♂️ but I don't speak Dutch, so you can't quote me lol.

He LiveScoped that freakazoid with a Westin TwinTeez – which looks like something we’d chuck for walleyes on this side of the pond, except I’m digging its horizontal tail:

“Didn’t realize my shoes were being covered in eggs at the time....”
- That’s Cheyenne DaSilva talking about this egg-wagon she caught during last year’s walleye opener on the Winnipeg River, but it’s still one of the most hilarious pics I’ve ever seen so had to bring it back to life. Look closely:
Better yet, here’s the moment she realized she was being doused in walleye gold LOL:
Congrats again on the catch 🤣 but sorry about your kicks!
I know how much you cheeseheads like your Spotted Cows....
So you’re gonna wanna buckle-up for this one caught by Drew Evans. I believe he was fishing the Mississippi River on the MN/WI border when he boated this incredible, blotchy 19.75” smallmouth bass:

What a gorgeous critter!!!

Here’s the newest “Top 5” of the week video! 🍿

Big thx to our friends at Sea Foam for making this video series possible! 👊

Caught it off his dock! And it would have been worth $41K had he caught it during the contest. There’s still 9 specially tagged walleyes left out there, with cash prizes being paid to the next 2 that are caught.
Register your single biggest walleye between May 29 - Jun 25 for a chance to win a nearly-$100K boat package off just a $36 ticket.
Powerful read from Scott Mackenthun. Especially having a young daughter me-self.
> A 2019 stroke and accident left him almost entirely paralyzed, but 85-yr-old Al Maas...keeps looking forward to the walleye opener. [He will be] lifted by four friends into his boat and strapped into a seat to join his 21-yr-old grandson, Grant – like his grandfather, a guide – for a good time on the water.
Good luck out there fellas and have a fantastic day!
And here’s episode 1 if you want to get caught up.
Catch-photo-release style derby thru Angler’s Atlas where folks register their longest walleye caught for a shot at some serious dough and prizes. Can now register for 3 of the 4 events, just waiting on Manitoba dates to be set:

Can’t make this stuff up. 🥴
> “The Worm Warning states that areas along and south of I -94 can expect to see, smell and step on many worms this morning, and to 'proceed with caution.' When I saw the National Weather Service issued a Worm Warning, I wasn't sure what to think. But the comments about the Worm Warning are pretty darn funny.”

Brett McComas is the main man for Target Walleye He was discovered in Brainerd, MN after years of wondering how in the heck people break into the fishing biz. He's in it now, but still can't answer that question.... Brett is one of those guys who majored in marketing, only because there was no such thing as a "fishing degree" at the time.... Get him at brett@targetwalleye.com
