Individualized Emergency Evacuation Plans (IEEP)

UCSF provides individualized emergency evacuation plans (IEEP) for faculty, staff, and students with disabilities.

An IEEP provides individuals with disabilities with a plan and additional assistance to evacuate a building in the event of an emergency.

Call for Members: Committee on Disability Inclusion

Call for Members: Committee on Disability Inclusion 2025-2026

The Office of Diversity and Outreach (ODO) Committee on Disability Inclusion (CDI) is currently recruiting new membership for the 2025-2026 year.

The Committee on Disability Inclusion supports the mission of the Office of Diversity and Outreach by providing advisory support to Dr. Renee Navarro, Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Outreach and Chief Diversity Officer.

Committee members actively participate in workgroups and participate in event planning to further enhance the community climate at UCSF for constituents with disabilities.

If you are interested in applying to join the Committee on Disability Inclusion, please review the membership requirements below and apply by June 16, 2025. Meetings will be conducted via Zoom.

Application instructions:

  • Please complete the Committee on Disability Inclusion Application form and include a short essay (200 words) of why you wish to join to the committee. Please be sure to also include any experience and skills that could contribute to the committee and community of people with disabilities at UCSF. The deadline to apply is June 16, 2025.
  • For questions, please contact Cecile.Puretz@ucsf.edu.

Parking Updates: ADA Parking Permits

ADA Parking Permits

While ADA parking locations and the $7/day rate remain the same, the process for obtaining a valid UCSF ADA permit is evolving to better support those in need of accommodations.

Here's how the new process works:

UCSF Employees, Residents, Post-Docs, and Fellows: Contact your assigned DMS Analyst or DMS directly to initiate the interactive process at (415) 476-2621 or HRDMS@ucsf.edu.

UCSF Students: Contact SDS at studentdisability@ucsf.edu if you have any questions about the process, or visit this link to register and request parking access.

  • If an accommodation is approved, UCSF Transportation will issue an ADA permit and confirm where you can park (e.g., ACC or Westside/Dental areas at Parnassus).

  • You do not need to park in an ADA-marked stall.

  • Confidentiality is prioritized: DMS/SDS will not share medical or personal details with UCSF Transportation.

  • ADA permit holders will receive payment instructions or a PayByPhone code.

  • Note: This process will launch at Parnassus Heights first, followed by Mission Bay and other UCSF locations.

New Accessible Event Statement

Please share this with your partners.

The Toolkit for Accessible Events contains the updated information. Please contact Cecile.Puretz@ucsf.edu with any questions.
