On behalf of the Resource Centers for Climate & Belonging, we invite you to celebrate and honor our graduating students at UCSF! All UCSF learners are welcome to participate in the ceremony.

Diversity Graduation Award Nominations

The Diversity Graduation Awards recognize graduating students for their leadership and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout their academic journeys at UCSF. The awards are sponsored by the Resource Centers for Climate & Belonging within the Office of Diversity & Outreach.  

 

Selected by a committee of UCSF staff members, four students are chosen as recipients for their exceptional contributions in the categories listed below. Award recipients are also granted a $250 stipend. All graduating students may be nominated for the award.  


Nominations can be submitted by UCSF community members via this form: tiny.ucsf.edu/DivGradAwards | Nominations are due Sunday, March 16, 2025. 

 

Awards will be presented to recipients during the 2025 Diversity Graduation celebration on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Millberry Union Conference Center (Parnassus campus). 


Award Categories 

Disability Leadership Award 

This award recognizes a UCSF graduate who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to advancing disability access and inclusion within the university community. The award celebrates the exemplary leadership efforts and contributions of a recipient who has promoted a culture of access and inclusion for disabled people and communities at UCSF and beyond. 

 

LGBTQ+ Leadership Award 

This award recognizes a UCSF graduate who demonstrates outstanding leadership, advocacy, activism, and unwavering dedication to promoting equity for LGBTQIA+ communities within the university. This award celebrates the profound impact of recipients who have worked to advance LGBTQIA+ rights, visibility, and inclusion on campus. 

 

MRC Leadership Award 

This award recognizes a UCSF graduate who centers relationship building and embodies equity, justice, inclusion, and service to the UCSF community throughout their academic journey. The recipient of the award has demonstrated exceptional leadership and contributed significantly to the advancement of BIPOC and other traditionally marginalized communities at UCSF and beyond.

Back by popular demand! Spill the Disabili-Tea is an interactive workshop designed to elevate knowledge of disability and accessibility provide a space to learn about inclusion and strategies for being an effective ally.


All UCSF students, staff, and faculty and invited to register.

Disability Justice POP-UP Library

Come stop by the DRC's Pop-Up Library and pick up a free book centered around disability narratives! Our books explore a wide variety of disability experiences as well as disability rights, activism, and theory.
