This lecture offers a foundational exploration of disability through legal, social, and cultural frameworks. Topics will address common barriers encountered by individuals with disabilities—including physical, attitudinal, systemic, and digital barriers.

The UCSF Dialogue and Inquiry Certificate Program (DICP) equips faculty, staff, learners, and healthcare professionals with the tools to engage across difference, address bias, and foster belonging.
Through ten interactive sessions, participants build skills in dialogue, inquiry, and inclusive leadership—transforming everyday interactions into opportunities for connection and systemic change.
