Elected for Inclusion: A Presidential Forum on Disability Issues
The Arc is excited to share that there will be a presidential forum on disability issues in Austin, Texas on January 13, 2020! The forum is organized through the American Association of People with Disabilities’ REV UP campaign, which The Arc’s national office is a part of, as are many state and local chapters of The Arc.
How can your chapter get involved? Sign up to host a watch party!
This is an important opportunity for the disability community to come together and learn about candidates’ stances on issues that are important to us.
Three steps to hosting a watch party:
Register your event here by December 16. Five watch parties will be randomly chosen to win a $100 Visa gift card to help pay for party supplies, like food and drinks!*
Download your watch party toolkit to get tips on what to do before, during, and after your watch party. The toolkit includes marketing materials, a bingo game, signs to make, and more!
Post pictures at your party and tag The Arc of The United States on Facebook (TheArcUS) and Twitter (@thearcus).
Please note: All presidential candidates have been invited to attend this forum. It is a non-partisan, non-political event in accordance with 501(c)(3) rules.
