Hurricane Dorian is causing significant damage in the Bahamas. With little movement the winds and rising water levels are destroying homes and putting lives in danger.
Disaster Aid Canada and Disaster Aid USA are collaborating to help people in the Bahamas as quickly as possible. We have been asked to supply shelter, including our tents and tarps, Disaster Relief Kits, Water Filtration Systems and Hygiene Amenities. As we are getting supplies together to be shipped out early this week, we need YOUR HELP. Your donation will help us to send as many supplies as possible.
Our partner, Disaster Aid USA, has already started deploying DARTS. As soon as the weather improves a crew will be assessing where supplies need to be distributed in the Bahamas.
Please consider helping now! This has been one of the strongest storms on the Atlantic coast that they have ever recorded. Over 13,000 homes have already been destroyed and with the winds and floods more will be destroyed in the coming night and days. We are ready with supplies to ACT with your help.
A complete Disaster Relief Kit costs $1,000. But all donations are greatly appreciated! Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $20. Reg.# 85592 2704 RR0001.
Cheques made payable to Disaster Aid Canada can be mailed to: 426 William Street Victoria, BC V9A 3Y9
