Disaster Preparedness for Outdoor Recreation Businesses WEBINAR

Disaster Preparedness for Outdoor Recreation Businesses WEBINAR

Please join us for a panel discussion regarding disaster preparedness for outdoor recreation businesses. As wildfires burn throughout the state, dozens of outdoor recreation businesses have found their spring seasons catastrophically disrupted. Forest closures, mandatory evacuations, and dangerous air pollution caused by smoke are a few of the effects of the fires that have led to business closures. And the climate crisis, which is increasing the aridity of New Mexico, will make fire years like 2022 more common.

In this webinar led by the New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division and the SBDC, a panel of experts will detail disaster relief funding and proactive policies available for outdoor recreation businesses. Representatives from the SBDC, American Property Casualty Insurance Association, and the state Economic Development Department will review sources of emergency funding, including loans, grants, and tax credits, as well as polices such as disaster interruption insurance and wildlife liability programs.

Hear expert opinions from leaders in the disaster preparedness industry on what to do NOW!

Please Be Aware: The webinar will be used for internal and/or public training.
