Brothers & Sisters,

We are all grieving and concerned by the devastation throughout the southeast brought by Hurricane Helene. Some of you have friends and family who have sustained loss of property and are enduring great hardship. In my and my wife’s hometown in south Georgia where the timber industry is strong many of our friends had tall pines fall upon homes, vehicles, businesses, power lines and roads. Across the southeast, many people’s lives will be significantly changed, and permanently.

This is a moment for apprentices of Jesus to step forward and Practice the Way - allowing God’s compassion to relieve some of the hardship.

We are grateful to be able to help those affected by supporting Convoy of Hope. They are a faith-based humanitarian and disaster relief organization that is already on the ground in FL, GA & NC providing much needed supplies and assistance. They are supported by churches across Christian denominations and have received the highest ratings for transparency and stewardship for charitable organizations.

If you would like to make a gift to Convoy of Hope (click the image) or visit www.rossbridge.church/give, select “Mission”, and write “Disaster Relief” in the memo line.

Thank you for your generosity in helping those in need. My prayer is that as affected people rebuild, they will remember seeing the Light of Christ through the darkness, because of our concern and support.

I am grateful to be your pastor.

Practicing the Way,

Pastor Nathan

Monthly Mission Focus & More

Our monthly mission focus for October is The Foundry. Each Sunday of October in worship we will feature an aspect of their Christ-centered substance abuse recovery ministry, and the unique ways we partner with and support them throughout the year. Each week during Holy Communion, you may leave a gift for The Foundry at our altar rail. We are already looking forward to hosting the men of The Foundry for a Christmas dinner!

BRIDGE STUDENTS

RIP to weekly Bridge Student Emails!

I am writing to make you aware of a change in our Bridge Student weekly communications.

The week of Sunday, September 15th, we began posting all information for weekly ministries and special events will be on our student website page:

www.rossbridge.church/bridgestudents

After some discussion with staff, we believe this will be more beneficial for families to have a single place where all information is posted with weekly or daily updates. We recognize that most parents are receiving many emails with updates from their student’s schools and extracurricular activities. Moving forward, for the latest information available for upcoming ministries, you will only need to bookmark and visit the page above. It will include links to sign up for events to bring a meal on Sunday nights and other helpful information!

We hope this simple change will make information more accessible and lighten your inbox load!
