A Noble Goal With A Disastrous Economic Impact
When originally drafted, the Energy Master Plan was to include a cost analysis about the impact to our families and businesses. Despite the fact that no such analysis has ever been made public, the BPU has continued to move forward with implementing its plan during the past two years. Last week, Affordable Energy For New Jersey testified before the BPU calling on them to be transparent with the public and come clean about the true cost burden that the Energy Master Plan will impose on us all.
Affordable Energy for New Jersey has been consistent in saying that while New Jersey must adapt to climate change, the cost of these adaptations must be part of a transparent public discussion, so we aren’t forced to rely on technologies or adhere to policies that are neither feasible, affordable nor reliable.
