First and Foremost

Enrollment for the

2025-26 School Year

Current Families have until this Thursday March 6

to re-enroll their students (and add new family members) for next school year before we begin the OPEN ENROLLMENT period for our Parish community and community at large.

Save your child(ren)'s spot for next year now! When re-enrolling (or adding a new family member) it is important to note each child is not fully registered/reenrolled until you have submitted all forms and signed the tuition contract. It is also important to make changes if necessary in contact information and or emergency contact information.

The rates for tuition and enrollment fees are listed at the end of the newsletter. Enrollment fees must be paid in order for your child(ren) to be considered enrolled.

All information must be completed and uploaded in order for your child(ren) to be considered enrolled.

MARCH IS READING MONTH

Welcome to Camp Read-A-Lot

March is Reading Month 2025

We once again have a fun month of activities to celebrate our love of reading and sharing stories! We will be finding lots of fun ways to read throughout the month along with encouraging reading at home and dress up days.

Winning Wednesdays Students will receive a sheet of tickets.  For every 15 minutes that they read at home, students can turn in a ticket to their teachers.  On Wednesdays, teachers will hold classroom drawings from these tickets.  Students whose names are drawn will have the opportunity to pick out a free book.

Dress Up Days

Thursday March 6 - Hat Day

Thursday March 13 - Dress Up as Your Favorite Book Character

Monday March 17 - Wear green for St. Patrick’s Day

Thursday March 20 - Wear Flannel

Thursday March 27 - Wear Comfy Clothes/bring a blanket to read camping style and share a special snack.

Look for a SignUp Genius coming soon if you would like to donate items for our treat!

Flashlight Fridays We are encouraging students to bring in a flashlight to leave at school for the month so that on Fridays they can read by flashlight in their classrooms. Please label your flashlight with your child’s name so we can be sure to return them at the end of the month.

Book Fair!

We will be having a book fair March 3-6.  Lowry’s Books will be our vendor for this event.

Students may shop during library classes or after school on Monday March 3, Wednesday March 5 or Thursday, March 6.

BARK Annual Report: 2024 Research on Children and Technology

Bark is the online protection service we use at IHM to monitor students online activities. Their annual report is an eye-opening dive into what it’s like to grow up on the internet today. In 2024, Bark analyzed 7.9 billion activities across texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps, and social media platforms. Their intention in conducting this research is to help our IHM community better protect our children while they use technology. Check out our 2024 Annual Report .

From the Principal:

Hello IHM Families!

We are up and running for registration for next year! Please make sure as a current family you complete your registration by March 6 when we open it up for new families! Disciple Den and Preschool Enrichment classes are filling up fast!

We would still like to find someone to do the after school Disciple Den with the older kids over here in the big school and do more homework time and activities more tailored to the 4th grade and up crowd. If you know of anyone or you are interested, please let me know! It would be 3:00-5:30 Mondays through Thursdays and we have taken steps to get the big school licensed to do this. That would open up more room for the younger ones as well! Don't delay if you need Disciple Den, as you have to sign up through Finalsite now.

If you are a registered parishioner at ANOTHER parish that does not have a school and therefore contributes to your child's education at IHM, you MUST go in to Finalsite and request that from your home parish. We can see when they have approved it and then we can give you parishioner status/rate for next year. Let us know if you have any questions on your enrollment!

Looking forward to a GREAT year next year!

Blessings,

Holly Lake
