2024-25 IHM YEARBOOK

...will your kid have one?

Orders for the annual IHM School Yearbook were taken in the Fall when school pictures were purchased. If you did not order one but have decided your child would like one, you must order soon before the book goes to print. Homeroom teachers have a list of who already ordered one. Kid not on the list? Call Geskus Photography and order one for $10. 616-453-4170

Yearbooks ordered before they go to print will be distributed at school the last day of school. Those ordering after the book goes to print will receive their order after school is out for the summer.

It's about a month away...and we are counting down the days!

MARCH IS READING MONTH

Camp Read-A-Lot

UPDATE

March is Reading Month 2025

The sweetest of thanks to the parents who donated the supplies for the Smores bar, enjoyed by students yesterday. Sooooo Goood!

Today we say goodbye to Camp Read Alot with quiet reading time our last Flashlight Friday!

Mrs. Kuzma sure knows how to make March is Reading Month special. Thanks to her and the committee for their attention to detail and love of reading!

Good News around Campus

"Spring is Springing " on our IHM campus. Reports of fully bloomed daffodils were received from a delighted few preschoolers. Ah, to have that kind of wonder!

Librarian Mrs. Kuzma is back from a Mission trip she took with her husband. The word of God has reached people in another continent because of their efforts. Well done good and faithful servants!

Preschool Teacher Mrs. Jennifer Ansell is counting the days until Holy Saturday when she will be received into the Catholic Faith in full at the Easter Vigil Mass. We are so very happy for you!

Grandpa Mark Rizik, otherwise known to his grandkids as Coach, otherwise known to the literary world as Mark Edwards wrote a few kids books a few years back. He met with Junior high kids today to share his experiences and each walked away with The Saints Bones.

IHM Science legend made a cameo appearance as Judge yesterday at our Invention Convention. Past Science teacher Mr. Larry Bergman lent his talents in assessing the various inventions. (PS he still looks the same as 30 years ago! He's discovered the fountain of youth among other things!)

IHM Mom Mrs. Maria Bostic is due soon with their first baby GIRL. Our prayers for safe delivery for both mom and baby!

Mrs. Rachel O'Hearn is readying her return to the classroom next month as her maternity leave comes to an end. We've decided her long term sub Mrs. Martha Adams is not allowed to leave our staff. What a blessing she has been.

There is no love without sacrifice and the Marco Family from St Paul the Apostle Parish and School is experiencing the profound love of an extended Catholic community this week. The family lost their youngest in a car accident last Sunday, while other family members were severely injured. Our IHM prayers, sacrifices and therefore love have been promised to carry them through this very difficult Lent and beyond. We belong to each other and therein lies the joy of the Lord.

From The Principal

Hello IHM Families!

Please continue to storm heaven with prayers for the Marco family as they deal with their unimaginable loss as well as their own physical healing. We will have a $1 non-uniform jersey day in honor of Baylor Marco on Friday next week. We will give that to the Marco family.

As we finish up the 3rd quarter, and many of our classes are taking spring field trips, I am so grateful for our Home and School Association. They fund field trips and transportation so that we aren't asking parents all the time to fund these things on top of their tuition. They are such a valuable part of the IHM community! Consider getting involved with the Association and thank you for all your contributions to the Home and School through the auction so they can continue to make such a difference for our kids!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,

Holly Lake
