From the Assistant Principal's Desk
Hello IHM Families!
I wish you blessings as we say good-bye to February and hello to March. We have just completed the second week of Lent. There are many beautiful Lenten activities happening in the classrooms. Mr. Whipple led the staff in a reflective prayer service with focus on that which leads us to the Triduum, and on Wednesday, Fr. Troy reminded the students about the importance of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Many blessings to all of us preparing our hearts for the passion, death, and resurrection.
A quick update on Mrs. Lake - she continues to be at home with her foot elevated as she heals. I am not sure if a school principal ever gets time off because we often catch her checking and responding to email. We hope to see her next week, but we will see what her doctor says.
March is a sweet spot in the school year. We do not have many disruptions and have lots of time to get things done in the classroom. With that being said, this time of year can be a time when students get a little sloppy with the dress code. As a staff, we will be sending warning slips if a student is not in dress code. They will need to make the changes the next day. Thank you for your help with this! Please keep in mind we have a beautiful uniform closet if you are in need.
Blessings,
Mrs. Anne Brown
