From the Principal's Desk

Hello IHM Families!

I am so grateful to be back at school! I am still on my cart, but healing well and thankful for the prayers and well wishes! It really feels good to be back! I still can't maneuver the car line, but I'm anxious to pick that back up as soon as I can. My favorite part of the day is opening car doors in the morning and getting to talk to the kids. I learn so many great tidbits of information!

It's hard to believe Lent is upon us again. This season is so important to stop and evaluate what else we can do to grow in our faith. If you haven't joined the Hallow app yet, I strongly recommend the Lent challenge. And Reconciliation this Sunday is a wonderful opportunity for families to participate in this sacrament. There will be 11 priests here from 4-6 PM, what a gift!

We are excited about our professional development day! We have planned a training from the police department regarding threats and response to emergencies and we have formation provided by the diocese to discuss. In the afternoon we will be working on curriculum mapping, vertical planning (standards from grade to grade) and grading practices in small groups. We are so grateful to have this time to work on these things to strengthen our school in so many areas!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,

Mrs. Holly Lake

The Sign You've Been Looking For

Return to the Father with all your heart and allow His mercy to give you a new beginning! Come Home! Tri-Parish Confessions at IHM this Sunday from 4-6 pm. Two hours, one Savior, and 11 priests to lead you to Him.

Knights of Columbus, Council 13499, Hosts Display of

Sacred Heart of Jesus Icon

The Knights of Columbus periodically circulate icons to councils for display in their parishes. These icons are available and suitable for veneration, reflection and meditation for a specified time. IHM’s Council, 13499, is hosting this year’s icon which is now on display in the Adoration Chapel. The exact date we will have to pass it on to another council has not been established; but we will have it until at least March 11, 2026. This particular icon is the Sacred Heart of Jesus and one of 300 reproductions circulating to councils around the world. The original was painted by Pompeo Batoni in 1767 and is venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. Our reproduction icon was blessed by Pope Francis through the Papal Almoner.

You are invited to join other Knights, parishioners and guests to visit the icon in IHM's Adoration Chapel during the time it is available to us. Having this sacred art to view and meditate on in our chapel is a special opportunity this Lent. Please bring your families.

News From IHM Athletics

Happy February!

Back by popular demand, it's time for IHM's March Madness Fundraiser!! For the first time since 2024, we will be offering 68 chances to win $$$ and to support the Athletic Assoc. Thank you for all your support this school year with our fall and winter fundraisers. We are always looking for great ideas on other ways to raise funds for IHM Athletics so please send them our way or come join us during one of our meetings!

All transactions will be conducted through the IHM Clover site and payouts will be provided from these funds.  These opportunities help fund IHM Athletics to keep our kids playing sports for free and provide the necessary equipment, uniforms, and facility standards that make IHM a great place to compete and grow our community.  Your donation gives you a chance to win while also providing $5,000 to the IHM Athletic Association.

The same rules as prior events apply with the squares being assigned at random as they are purchased. When all the squares are filled, we will blind draw the numbers 0-9 for each side. (Your squares will be sent to you prior to the tournament) Then you just match the last digit of the winning score and the losing score after each game to win.  NO BAD NUMBERS!!! You have 68 chances to win with one purchased square.

Please see details on these two attachments:

No limit on the amount of squares you may purchase!

Thanks to you, these fundraisers help pay the increasing cost for fall/winter/spring sports. We also use our sponsorships, gate, and concessions to cover the rest of the necessary costs to provide your children the best place to play and best experience. We appreciate all your generosity and support for IHM and the Athletic Association. Please consider participating and feel free to share with friends and family!

God Bless and Go Vikings!
