In 1993, the Central Rocky Mountain region bought Heart of the Rockies Christian Church 11 acres to construct a building. But the congregation knew this land was meant to serve the community, not just church members. 30 years later, it's now the site of a proposed development that will offer affordable housing and childcare to low-income residents and adults with disabilities, thanks to partnerships with faith-based organizations such as Disciples Church Extension Fund.

The National Benevolent Association Mental Health and Wellness Initiative creates communities of compassion and care with an integrated vision of wellness that prioritizes a holistic approach centered in justice, equity, theology, spirituality, and clinical awareness. Applications due March 31.

Join Disciples Home Mission on Thursday March 30 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST for a webinar from Rev. Jason Santos, Ph.D. entitled Killing Church Softly: Generational & Identity-Formation. This seminar explores generational & identity-formation theories that offer insight toward a more communal understandings of discipleship. 

In the late summer and across the fall of 2022, the Covenant Project launched a series of town halls to discuss the proposed changes and gather feedback from congregations and leaders across the life of the church. Hosting 29 town halls members of the Governance Committee were able to share proposed changes and hear feedback. Read about the feedback and sign up for a town hall to learn more. 

Applications are now being accepted for the Woman-to-Woman Worldwide Journey to East Asia in September 2023. This year, Disciples Women will travel to Japan and South Korea to engage in intersections of political, cultural, relational, and ecclesial notions of peace and how they affect women in Japan and South Korea. The deadline to submit an application is March 20th.
