NEW MEXICO #319

DISCOUNTED TROPHY BULL ELK- NO DRAW!

At Hunt Nation, we book more elk hunts than anything else, and we book more elk hunts in New Mexico than anywhere else. This exceptional outfitter has been in business over 20 years and enjoys about 80% repeat clients. Although they hunt a variety of species (including big antelope and also big aoudad in Texas), elk are their bread & butter. This truly is a first-rate operation, as evidenced by how often we get positive reviews even from folks who did not fill their tag! We think that speaks volumes about an outfitter.

Their main elk area is Unit 34, where the bull-to-cow ratio is the best in the State. These hunts fill up every year. These are marketed as hunts for 280”-320” bulls, but they do take some bigger. These 5-day hunts have been discounted from $15,000 to $12,000 per person 2x1 or $17,000 to $14,000 per person 1x1. Hunts include meals, lodging and a voucher to purchase your State license/tag, so no draws to contend with. Tax of approx. 5.125% is extra.

2025 DATES:          October 18-22 (1 spot), November 1-5 (1 spot)

  • They also have a Unit 34 unit-wide archery hunt available, which can be done anytime between September 15-24, 2025 (prime rut!). Price is $19,500 per person 1x1 for a 5-day hunt.

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES #283

TROPHY FALL BARREN GROUND MUSK OX

The long-time outfitter was fortunate enough to have a new hunting zone created in his territory for the 2022 season, due to an expanding herd now estimated in the thousands. It had never been commercially hunted, and the musk ox rarely, if ever, saw humans. The results were amazing: 100% success on their fall hunts that first year, and 90% made B&C or P&Y, including the new #2 B&C! Incredible! The hunting since then has continued to be amazing, with more trophy and book animals taken each season! This is simply one of the finest musk ox hunts currently available anywhere on the planet, and this outfitter specializes in producing book bulls!

Hunting is by spot & stalk hunt, and you will be out hunting for 12 hours a day, travelling and glassing. You will need to come prepared mentally for long glassing sits, and be absolutely dressed appropriately to stay warm. You should also see caribou and wolves (wolf can be added for a trophy fee), and have the opportunity to enjoy some fabulous fishing for lake trout and Arctic grayling.

There are 2 spots left for fall 2025 rut hunts (great for archery too!), and the tundra in the fall is simply breathtaking, ablaze in fiery reds, golds and deep oranges. The regular price of $24,000 has now been reduced to $17,000 USD per person 1x1 for a 5-day hunt, plus 5% tax, license and harvest fee (approx. $475) and approx. $3,000 for charter flight (can be split among passengers). SIMPLY PUT, THIS HUNT MAY BE YOUR SINGLE BEST CHANCE OF PUTTING AN ANIMAL IN THE RECORD BOOKS!

2025 DATES:          September 17-21 (2 spots)

WYOMING #235

LAST CHANCE 2025 ARCHERY/CROSSBOW ANTELOPE

The Wyoming antelope draws have come and gone, but Area 23-2 leftover tags go on sale July 17, first come first served. They could go fast, but if you get a license, we have a place for you to hunt with this outfitter.

They run a family-owned and operated business on some very remote ranchlands in northeast Wyoming. The outfitter hunts his own private ranch and also has leases consisting of about 75 square miles in northeast Wyoming. Nearly 100,000 acres!

Putting in over 150 days a year in the field, he and his guides know the ropes and where to find the game on several hundred thousand acres. That’s why he is so successful, and has been for over 30 years! You will come away a better and more knowledgeable hunter. He closely manages the harvest on his properties to assure guests the opportunity at a trophy animal. Size ranges from 13-15 inches. Lodging is in a 5-bedroom, 2-storey lodge with hot showers and good, basic food.

$3,795 per person 2x1 for a 4-day archery hunt (crossbows are allowed, and the outfitter even has a modern crossbow in camp if you don’t own one). You will be hunting mainly from blinds over waterholes.

2025 DATES: Late August/early September (just 2 spots left)

SASKATCHEWAN #289

TROPHY BULL MOOSE

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly moose hunt, this is one you need to look at. We have been working with this outfitter for many years, and he has been offering high-quality drive-to moose hunts in northern Saskatchewan for quite some time now. However, he just acquired a new 7,000 sq. mile fly-in moose territory in northeast Saskatchewan. The area has historically produced approx. 75% opportunity, but was barely hunted by the previous concession owner the last 2-3 years. While any bull moose is legal, you will be hunting during the rut and targeting 40”-50” moose.

These are lake hunts (good fishing, too), so you will fly in by float plane and hunt out of boats/canoes, so hunters need to be able to get around and in/out of small boats and up/down muddy banks (no docks).

These 7-day hunts (extra days can be added for $800/day) are just $9,900 USD per person 1x1 for a tent camp hunt, plus tag (approx. $520), 10% tax, and approx. $1,800 float plane charter which includes meat fly out. So all in you will pay approx. $13,500, plus your travel (Flin Flon, Manitoba is the staging area, so you will need to fly or drive there) and tips. A great value for a moose hunt of this caliber!

DATES:        September 25-October 3, 2025 (1 spot)

COLORADO #141

RANCHING FOR WILDLIFE ANTELOPE

This may be your last chance to hunt antelope in Colorado this fall. And this is a unique opportunity, as Ranching for Wildlife hunts can set their own season dates, and they offer a guaranteed license (meaning no draw required!). Since every State in the West has a draw system for antelope, this is a huge PLUS for hunters. Instead of collecting points for years, you can simply book this hunt and go! Success has historically been approx. 100% on this 60,000-acre ranch, and the outfitter expects the same this year. Hunt takes place near Steamboat Springs.

Hunts are 5 days for $4,250 per hunter 2x1, meals and lodging included.

DATES:        October 8-12 (2 spots)

NEWFOUNDLAND #47

80-85% SUCCESS RATE- TROPHY BULL MOOSE

This high-quality operation offers fly-in hunts from either one of two main lodges, or trophy hunts from one of their various spike camps. The lodge will have 4-6 hunters per week, and their spike camps generally have just 1 hunter and 1 guide per week. All of these locations are remote, and boast untouched nature at its finest, with wooded areas, barrens, mountains and bogs, with very little hunting pressure. Each location is a short flight by float plane or helicopter from Hawkes Bay.

Since this outfitter took over this hunting area in 2019, they can boast an annual success rate of approx. 80%-85%, with an opportunity rate of 90+%. It just doesn’t get much better than that! But being able to get around on foot (and possibly in/out of a small boat) is essential, and the more mobile you are, the better your chance of success (especially for bigger bulls). In terms of trophy quality, most bulls harvested will be between 35”-50”, but they have taken them as big as 52”.

A main lodge hunt is $10,500 USD per person 2x1 or $12,000 per person 1x1. Add black bear for $1,500 per person. Hunts are 6 days and you are expected to arrive in Deer Lake on the Saturday before the hunt begins and depart on the Monday following the hunt.

DATES:        September 21-28, 2025 (2 spots)

ARGENTINA #42

FREE RANGE RED STAG & MORE!

Argentina has incredible hunting for birds, but less known is its superb hunting for big game species. They have excellent hunting for red stag, blackbuck, wild boar, Asian water buffalo, mouflon, axis deer, fallow and much more. And in this particular outfitter’s case, he has the ability to also put you into world class high volume wing shooting in conjunction with your big game hunt! AND YOU CAN GO HUNTING IN MARCH/APRIL! No more sitting and waiting for fall. So there is the possibility to take a bunch of big game, then relax and shoot hundreds of doves a day each morning and evening for a few days, in between which you can enjoy long lunches with Argentine wine and beef, and take a quiet a siesta – a welcome break! Rifle, black powder or archery, all can be handled here with great comfort and success.

This is a free-range red stag area, where the animals are free to roam from ranch to ranch. As with most Argentina operations, they do also have a high fence preserve area, should you wish to hunt there instead (separate pricing).

Hunt Nation agents John Pomazi and Eddie Deuser hunted with this outfitter and some clients in March of 2023. They reported that the food, service and accommodations were excellent. This is a challenging hunt with some nice stags and some of the best blackbuck hunting you will find.

Red Stag Package – $6,300 USD per hunter

  • 6 nights/5 ½ hunting days
  • 1x1 guiding for a stag with no score limit
  • Double-occupancy lodging
  • All meals with local wines, beer and alcohol

2026 DATES:  March 7-13, April 6-12, April 24-30

WYOMING #38

LAST SPOT - TROPHY BULL ELK FOR 2026

NOW IS THE TIME TO BOOK YOUR 2026 WYOMING BULL ELK HUNT!

This small but professional big game outfitting operation is based in southeastern Wyoming. We have been working with them for nearly 20 years. They conduct all hunts on various private ranches in the Elk Region East General, encompassing over 6,000 acres of prime habitat for elk, mule deer and antelope.

This is simply a superb elk hunt, low-volume elk hunt (they take only 4 hunters per year, and 2 are already spoken for). The season is basically the month of October. Bulls here range from around 260” to 340”, and many are 300-class. Because of the private ranches, the elk are very undisturbed, making them easier to call and stalk. Not pushovers, though. You still earn them, but you are likely to go home with your bull here. We estimate elk success to average around 90% or so historically, assuming normal weather, but they were 100% in 2023 and 2024! And we like the fact that they do not archery hunt, so bulls are more laid back and largely unbothered until the gun season begins.

The price for next season has not been set yet, but the 2025 price was $7,900 per person 2x1 (these hunts are strictly 2x1) for a 5-day hunt, and we expect a modest increase for 2026. Lodging is a motel/hotel in Wheatland, at your expense. Meals are not included, other than lunches in the field. These hunts require a Region East General Elk tag, which will likely require approx. 2 preference points to draw a Special License in 2026, and likely approx. 3 preference points for a Regular License.

DATES:        October 9-13, 2026 (2 spots)

ALBERTA #335

HUNT NATION FAVORITE- SPRING BLACK BEAR OVER BAIT

This outfitter’s area of northeast Alberta has a reputation for having lots of bears, and bears with large heads, along with some color phase. Bears over the past 10 or so years have averaged around 6 feet, with some reaching 7 feet+. Success has normally pushed 100%, and we see no reason to think that will change. Huge heads seem common, meaning 18 to 22 inches.

Hunt camp consists of wall tents, sleeping bags (furnished), solid cots with thick foam mattresses, wood stoves, a shower area and a cook tent and a dining area with netting.

Fly or drive to Edmonton or Calgary, and then on to Fort McMurray, where you will be met and driven about 1.5 hours to the camp.

Price is $4,800 USD per person (including tag) for a 6-day hunt. Tax of 5% is extra. A second bear can be added for an extra $1,750 USD.

DATES:        May 16-21, 2025 (4 spots)

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES #283

INCREDIBLE ARCTIC WOLF

This long-time multi-species outfitter has been operating in the Arctic for many years. The wolf population on these barren-lands is high, estimated in the thousands. It is also a prime area for wolverines.

This is a spot & stalk hunt, which means you’ll be glassing areas that have caribou, as the wolves follow the caribou. You will be out glassing and hunting for 10 hours a day. Expect to travel many miles by snowmobile each day, looking for fresh wolf sign. When a pack is located, it is not uncommon to be able to harvest more than one animal, as these wolves rarely if ever see humans in this remote area. But hunts for these intelligent animals are tough, requiring a lot of mental stamina and patience, often in harsh conditions. Opportunity rate is always very high, and last season they were 100% opportunity and 100% success, including 8 wolves taken in just 2 days. And the hide on these wolves is simply stunning!

The 2026 price is $9,500 USD per person 2x1 for a 6-day hunt. A 2nd wolf or a wolverine are each $2,000 USD extra. Tax of 5%, license/tags and export permit fees are extra. You must fly into Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and the outfitter will pick you up from there. Accommodations are in heated mobile trailers.

2026 DATES:

February 8-13, 15-20, 22-27 (3 spots each week)

March 1-6, 16-21, 23-28 (4 spots each week)

If you can’t make it for 2026, the outfitter will honor (for a limited time) these 2026 prices for a hunt in 2027 or 2028 instead (similar dates).

ARGENTINA #37

AMAZING TROUT FISHING IN PATAGONIA

Patagonia is famed for its incredible trout fishing. This outfitter has two operations there, one in Bariloche (bigger fish, but more skill required), and the other in Quillen (for those preferring more action over size, although big fish certainly do occur). Both lodges feature excellent guides, wonderful lodging, meals and wines, and a world class experience. There are regular flights from Buenos Aires to both areas, and typically take around 2 hours.

Bariloche (2-day min.)

$1,400 USD/day per person 2x1, double occupancy

$1,560 USD/day per person 1x1, double occupancy

$1,650 USD/day per person 1x1, single occupancy

Quillen
