volunteer work
, join advocacy groups and raise money for the causes that are important to them.
Our
Center for Student Involvement
(CSI) helps students discover their passion within 80 diverse student organizations and clubs—from environmental action to equestrian competitions to hip-hop dancing—we have something for everyone. CSI also oversees

Campus Dining
Students on the Garden City campus
enjoy many dining options
, from all-you-care-to-eat dining—including a good selection of vegetarian and vegan foods—to salad bars, pasta stations and pizza by the slice. When they're in a hurry, they'll find grab-and-go foods all over campus.
And this fall, we opened
Adelphi's first-ever Panther Pantry
to provide food to those in need in the University community. The service can be used anonymously by faculty, staff and our more than 8,100 undergraduate and graduate students.

Athletics
Intercollegiate athletics have been part of Adelphi's educational experience since 1896, when the women's basketball and tennis teams both recorded successful initial seasons.
Today's Panthers
are as successful as ever, participating in 23 NCAA Division II teams, with 16 national titles, four Northeast-10 Conference Presidents' Cups, and more than 15 All-Americans.
Your students can choose from nine men's and 12 women's sports—from
bowling
(watch our champion Bowler's story) to
track and field
,
soccer
to
basketball
, and more. And of course, everyone is welcome to join us in the stands to cheer on their favorite teams!

Residential Life
Living on campus is the best way to get involved in college life. Adelphi has
seven residence halls
that students can choose from, all offering fully furnished rooms, large lounges and kitchens, free WiFi and HBO GO, as well as free laundry facilities. Each year, we offer a variety of
special residential communities
for students who share similar interests. What's more, students who live on campus can be anywhere they need to be in five minutes—classes, dining locations, the fitness center and gym, our library, computer labs, the bookstore, and even our Adelphi University Performing Arts Center to catch a show!

Spotlight on Environmental Studies B.A./M.S. Program
|
|
|
Are your students passionate about the environment? Do they want to protect our oceans? If so, our new five-year
B.A./M.S. in Environmental Studies
may be the right fit. Between classwork and fieldwork, students will get specialized training for careers in fields like
marine biology
, botany, environmental engineering and conservation science. And many will have the opportunity to volunteer with Associate Professor Aaren Freeman, Ph.D., a marine ecologist and the graduate coordinator of Adelphi's environmental studies program, on such projects as
collecting and recycling oyster shells
.
