We know many of our neighbors have big hearts when it comes to animals. Feeding stray cats and leaving food outdoors actually makes it harder to keep them healthy and safe in the long run.
When strays have a steady food source, they’re less likely to enter traps that allow Animal Control to safely and humanely reduce overpopulation. Cats can have kittens as early as 4 months old — and with up to 5 litters a year, the numbers grow quickly.
If you notice strays in your neighborhood, please avoid feeding them. Instead, contact Perry Animal Control at (478) 338-0199 so we can make sure they are safe and properly cared for.
