Events for Adults

ESL Class

Friday - June 6th and 13th

10:30 AM to 11:45 AM

Adults, join us for a series of free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Classes are a mix of lesson instruction and conversation building. Each class will be a new topic. As this is a very popular program, please be sure you can attend the session before registering. Registration for each class is required. Class is intermediate level.

Beginner's Line Dancing

Wednesday - June 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th

1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Join instructor Joan Colombo as she teaches us how to line dance! Line dancing is a form of synchronized dancing in which dancers are arranged in rows or lines. Dancers move in unison, so no partners are required. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, line dancing is for everybody!


Beginner’s Line Dancing is an easy and energizing way to get some exercise while enjoying some great music and good company.

Monday Afternoon Book Club

For the month of June we'll be discussing the mystery thriller novel, The People vs. Alex Cross by James Patterson. Join us for a great discussion! Jersey Shore History & Facts

Wednesday - June 11th

Join author and photographer Kevin Woyce for a colorful tour of New Jersey's coastal history, from the long-ago days of lighthouses and shipwrecks to the founding of today's most popular summer resorts.


The slide show includes original photography of Jersey Shore lighthouses, amusement parks, boardwalks, and hotels, plus vintage images of historic people, places, and events

Adult Yoga

Join us for an adult yoga class! Class is beginner and intermediate friendly. Modifications can always be made for poses to ensure safe movement for your body.

Chair Yoga for Adults

Tuesday - June 17th

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Join us with Mid-Bergen Regional Health Commission as they lead a monthly series of chair yoga classes.


Chair Yoga provides a gentle yet effective form of exercise tailored for individuals who may have limited mobility or prefer to practice yoga while seated. This class focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and relaxation through a series of seated yoga poses and breathing exercises.


Come as you are and with a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

Ellen LaFurn Hit Songs 30’s – 50’s: a Look into the Rearview Mirror of Music

Introduction to Programs and Services for Seniors

Bergen County has many programs and services available to it's older adults! From PSEG credits to help with running errands, there are programs for different needs. This session will help you navigate the resources available and explore how to access them. It's important to become aware of services you might not know about, make a difference, and help save you money!

Reading Buddies

Mondays & Thursdays

4:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Kids will join one of our high school volunteers to read a book for 20 mins. Volunteers will help them read. Children can bring in the book of their choice or choose a book from our library collection to read.


Kids can improve their reading skills this summer.

Children of all ages are invited to join us for a fun-filled afternoon of reading to our favorite friend, Rosie! Rosie is a therapy dog who loves getting read to! 


Heads up! Not only does Rosie love reading, but she also loves giving kisses and getting bellyrubs.

Join us for a fun and creative Kids Soap Making Workshop with Eun Park! Children ages 9 and up will learn how to craft their own colorful, scented soaps using safe, kid-friendly materials.
