RN's NEW Blog - A Mother/Daughter Journey

My daughter, Wren, had recently expressed her growing concern about the climate crisis, coupled with a sense of helplessness. She voiced the frustration felt by many young people—awareness of the problem, but a lack of direction on how to address it.

Team Stories - Methane Mitigators Team Graduates!

Christine does a lot to maintain a climate-friendly household but learned how much air travel contributed to her carbon footprint.

Linda developed a renewed interest in conserving water. She is also going to replace her gas hybrid car with an EV and install bidirectional solar, which team member John inspired her to do!

Jennie feels empowered to reduce packaging waste and is going to weatherproof her doors. Plus she went Deep Green to get 100% renewable electricity!

John is reducing his energy needs to zero! He is looking forward to installing insulation and has been using design concepts from the Passive House Institute to help with air sealing. Their motto is "Efficiency: The First Renewable Energy." Plus, the workshop inspired him to research getting an E-Bike!

Vendela and Brian inspired friends to compost their lemon tree with used coffee grinds. They also decided to replace gas appliances with electric ones over time. And, Vendela decided to volunteer with us!

Julia and Talia became aware during the program of their consumption and shopping habits and now evaluate whether they really need something before buying it.

Congratulations, Methane Mitigators! We welcome you to the growing community of Resilient Neighborhoods graduates who are taking action in Marin to make a difference on climate.
