Dear New England Tourism Industry,
Greetings from snowy New Hampshire. Winter finally got going and outdoor recreation is making this pandemic a bit easier to navigate. Despite a challenging past year, we see positive indicators on the horizon. As vaccine production and distribution ramps up, we know our industry will bounce back. Everyone wants to travel once it is safe, and New England is the perfect place for both domestic and international travelers to escape to and make new memories.
Speaking of being together in person, Discover New England’s 25th Annual Tourism Summit & International Marketplace will be held next spring (2022) at Sunday River in Maine. We are making plans for another great event, so stay tuned for more details and registration information in the next few months.
We’ve also been busy behind-the-scenes observing and learning the best ways to support the industry and stay connected during this time. Most of us are tired of webinars, but we want to provide opportunities to share our work with our partners more frequently. So, beginning in April we will host a series of forums covering topics like trade and consumer trends from our in-market reps, media and strategic communication opportunities, as well as latest international research from Scott Johnson with Travel Market Insights. And we’ll dedicate time for updates on the 2022 Summit. It’s time to re-discover New England.
Best regards,
