It is hard to believe we are already halfway through February.
As you may have already heard Wiarton Willie predicted an early spring and I can't wait to enjoy warmer weather. My barista skills continue to improve, just don't ask Tam who still thinks my creative designs need some improvement.
Did you know that Family Day was first introduced in Alberta in 1990, and has since grown into a beloved holiday occurring on the third Monday in February?
While Family Day might look a little different this year, it is rooted in the value of family and fortunately, there are many ways to spend time with our loved ones and celebrate our family units.
I included a few ideas of some activities you can do with your family this year at the end of this newsletter.
No matter how you spend it, I hope you have a wonderful Family Day this year and a chance to celebrate your loved ones!
And don't forget to stay in touch with your family and friends, even if it is through zoom calls and make sure you show your love and appreciation.

The GTHS is a non-profit charity that operates an animal center serving the South Georgian Bay region by providing shelter for homeless animals and adopting them to caring families.
The Living Wish Foundation is devoted to making the world a better place helping terminally ill patients re-frame hope and realize their dreams.

Residential sales recorded through the MLS® System for the Southern Georgian Bay region totaled 217 units in January 2021. This was a large increase of 29.2% from January 2020.
The average sales price for the region last month was $821,461 which was 43.7% higher than January 2020.

The Southern Georgian Bay region comprises two distinctive markets.
Home sales in the Western Region, which includes Wasaga Beach, Clearview Township, Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, and the Municipality of Meaford, numbered 127 units in January 2021. Increasing by +16.5% from January 2020.
The average price in the Western Region last month was $816,964. This was an increase of +29.9% from the same period in 2020 but we continue to see lower number of active listings compared to a year ago.
